This latest album is a compilation of recordings made with virtuoso string players over the past three years. The challenge was to confront a certain sauvagerie of the Glissotar (the continuos pitch wind instrument) with the elegance of the members of the string quintet. Mixing tradition and innovatative improvisation is the dialogue we feel we have achieved.
The last recorded livework includes voice electronics and a small dose of soundpainting.

Born in Berkeley California in 1952, E.Rolin, has a catalogue of over one
thousand works that range from solos to opera through big band charts.
These works have benefitted from world premiers in the USA Canada,Europe.
His latest project is developing répertoire for
the Glissotar Hungarian hybrid wind instument.
