Dan Flanagan Jean-Marie Colin Etienne Rolin formed a trio
bridging the geographical gap between French Aquitaine and California.
This album feautures the violin of Dan who accepted to premier a collection of the works of Etienne for two concerts performed in art spaces in Bordeaux. These events bear witness to the vanishing point between music and the visual arts.
E. Rolin brought together Jean-Marie Colin photographer- Karlax improvisor and the american violinist Dan Flanagan for an improvised event baptised Gestes et Transparences. All scores whether accompanied by live electronics or in solo format show the flexible talents of each performer in a unique timbral setting.
