This album emegred from a fruitful week in Bordeaux in early March 2024 when two Soundpainters and improvisors Walter Thompson and Etienne Rolin explored many musical situations. Outside of duo and ensemble soundpainintg, we were thrilled to share the stage with tuba virtuoso Pascal Rousseau for an exciting series of acoustic jousts.
Fearless playing posing incessant challenges to the ears of the trio is ever present
The timbres of 3 woodwinds Brass and keyboard made for many quasi orchestral textures within a framework of comprovisation awareness
that balances the fire and form of real-time performance.

This album is a follow up to the Rolin Thompson duo Flash/Erolgraphs

Fruit des séances riches en début mars 2024 deux soundpainters et improvisateurs Walter Thompson et Etienne Rolin ont explorés maintes situations musicales. En dehors des duos et ensembles de Soundpainting nous étions ravis de pouvoir inviter un ami virtuose au tuba Pascal Rousseau pour des joutes acoustiques.
Les timbres entre trois vents, un cuivre et un clavier (sans oublier les voix) nous ont offert des textures quasi orchestrales.
